Escates Llum de Sal are coarse sea salt flakes, some of which have pyramid-like structures. Like the Flor de Sal, the salt crystals are only dried in the sun. They are very mild and yet have an intense taste. The Escates Llum de Sal is ideal as a finish on fish, meat, grilled dishes or salads.
Robert Chavez is the creative head of Bodega Llum de Sal and one of the pioneers in the traditional extraction of fleur de sel. After years of working with Katja Wöhr in the company Gusto Mundial Balearides, Robert Chavez devoted himself entirely to his own salt line after the separation. There are numerous salt creations under the Llum de Sal (light of salt) brand. In addition to the natural salt "Flor de Sal Natural", there are salts with various additives, such as herbs, olives, pepper and numerous others.
